Natalia Peres Martinez, MD, MSc, PhD, is a general surgeon with 15 years of experience and almost 20 years in the medical field. During this period, she collaborated on over 14 published articles mainly focused on cancer molecular biology. She has spent almost 6 years working as Invited Professor and Program Coordinator for the Medical School at São Francisco University in Brazil while actively engaged in healthcare.

In the past decade, Dr. Martinez has transitioned into roles in the pharmaceutical and device industry in multinational companies such as Daichi Sankyo and Baxter Healthcare Corporation, where she recently held the position of Medical Manager for South America and is now part of the Medical Affairs team in the United States.

Dr. Martinez’s academic history is complemented by her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Health Science from São Francisco University, and she has recently acquired a postgraduate degree in Strategic Management from the Foundation Institute of Administration (FIA) Business School in São Paulo and a Certification on Leadership from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Over the last 7 years at Baxter, Dr. Martinez has dedicated herself to studying and educating healthcare professionals on ways to enhance intraoperative Blood Management through hemostatic technologies as a means of improving patient’s clinical outcomes.
